Mexico data center cooling components market overview
The Mexico data center cooling components market was valued at USD 346.1 million in 2025 and is projected to reach USD 1,152.9 million by 2032, growing at a CAGR of 18.75% from 2025 to 2032. That is the fastest growth rate in North America, ahead of the United States (18.09%) and Canada (16.78%). The market grows 3.33 times over the forecast period, adding USD 806.8 million of annual revenue, passes USD 500 million in 2028 and crosses USD 1 billion in 2032.
Two forces drive this growth. The first is data centre construction: the Mexican Data Center Association (MEXDC) targets a US$82.5 billion data center buildout through 2031 (source: Mexico Business News), with Querétaro holding 72% of existing capacity. The second is a shift to water-smart cooling. Water stress in Querétaro is pushing operators toward closed-loop and liquid systems, and ODATA is now deploying Aligned’s DeltaFlow liquid cooling at its QR03 campus (source: Aligned Data Centers) as part of a US$630 million first phase across Mexico and Brazil. Mexico is also becoming a cooling manufacturing base, with Daikin and Boyd both expanding plants along the northern border.

Growth accelerates toward 19% a year
After a dip to 14.8% in 2020, Mexico’s growth rate has risen or held steady every year. It is forecast to climb from 18.4% in 2026 to 19.3% in 2032, the highest annual growth of any North American country by the end of the forecast.

Key takeaways
Mexico in the North American and global market
Mexico generated 5.0% of North American revenue in 2025 (USD 346.1 million), after the United States (USD 5,867.8 million) and Canada (USD 752.8 million). Because it grows fastest, its share of the region rises to 5.2% by 2032. Worldwide, Mexico is the 12th-largest of the 17 country markets covered and holds 1.7% of global revenue. Its 18.75% CAGR ranks sixth among all 17 countries, ahead of large markets such as France, Japan, Germany and the United States.

Mexico’s two cooling hubs: where cooling is made and where it is used
Mexico’s cooling market has a clear geography. Along the northern border, manufacturers are expanding plants to supply cooling and power equipment to North American data centres. In the Bajío, Querétaro has become the country’s data centre capital and the main place where liquid cooling is being deployed.

Investment pipeline behind cooling demand
Announced projects are more than six times today’s installed base. Every megawatt built needs heat rejection, and new AI halls increasingly need liquid cooling too.

Market dynamics: the shift to water-smart cooling
Water is the defining issue for cooling in Mexico. Eight of Querétaro’s eleven regional aquifers are overexploited (source: Mexico Business News), and residents have reported water rationing to three days a week (source: Mexico Business News). In August 2026 President Sheinbaum said Mexico should not become a data centre for other places because of the energy and water these facilities need (source: Mexico Solidarity Project). Operators are responding with closed-loop and liquid cooling for AI workloads (source: BTW Media). ODATA’s DeltaFlow system recycles deionised water in a closed loop and needs zero water for operational cooling (source: Telecom Review Americas). Industry leaders at ASHRAE and AHR Expo México note that climate control accounts for about 40% of building energy use, and argue for climate control that uses less energy, with liquid cooling that targets heat at the component (source: Líder Empresarial).
SWOT analysis

Segment analysis
Across North America, liquid-based cooling systems held 55.2% of revenue in 2025 and are forecast to reach 61.1% by 2032, growing at 19.70% a year against 15.65% for air-based systems. Direct-to-chip cooling units grow fastest at 25.99%. In Mexico, ODATA’s hybrid air and liquid design at QR03 and Boyd’s cold plate and CDU production in Juárez point the same way.
| Segment | 2025 | 2032 |
|---|---|---|
| Liquid-based | 55.2% | 61.1% |
| Air-based | 40.9% | 35.5% |
