Cavotec introduced a next-generation mobile cable management system built specifically for Ro-Ro and Ro-Pax shore power connections, combining a redesigned dispenser and telescopic boom for improved reach to vessel hatches, single-operator control via radio remote, and a new digital HMI platform. Cavotec's PowerMove technology is already in service at more than 30 ports worldwide, with the new system supplied to the Port of Portoferraio in Italy and four further ports scheduled for delivery. For Baltic operators, mobile shore power is central to meeting the AFIR requirement for shore-side electricity supply at core TEN-T ports and to cutting in-port emissions cost exposure.

Valmet secured an order to supply integrated automation systems for three new Ro-Pax vessels being built for Finnlines, covering machinery and power management automation, alarm and monitoring, and operational tools under the Valmet DNA platform. The systems will be delivered to the shipyard across 2026–2027, aligned with vessel construction schedules. Finnlines set a requirement for crews to have real-time access to all critical information rather than working across fragmented interfaces. The three vessels will add capacity on Finnlines' key Baltic routes while supporting fuel efficiency and lifecycle maintenance goals.

Finnlines completed its EUR 500 million Green Newbuilding Programme with delivery of the second Superstar-class Ro-Pax vessel, Finncanopus, following sister vessel Finnsirius. The programme, launched in 2018, comprised two hybrid Ro-Pax and three hybrid Ro-Ro vessels. Both Superstar Ro-Pax ships carry 5,200 lane metres of cargo and are certified for 1,100 passengers, making them the largest Ro-Pax vessels in the Finnlines fleet and setting a new capacity benchmark on the Naantali–Långnäs–Kapellskär route between Finland and Sweden. Cascading of displaced tonnage onto the Sweden–Germany corridor lifted capacity on a second Baltic connection.
